Handwoven Ilkal sari with hand-embroidered Kasuti motifs in yellow at the shoulder line.
Kasuti | ಕಸೂತಿ is a traditional embroidery of Karnataka. The beauty of Kasuti lies in the intricacy of the stitches. The embroidery is done in a way that front and back of the embroidery look identical. The yarns used for embroidery are hand-spun and natural dyed cotton.
Gavanthi and Murgi stitches are used in this sari. The motifs are from 'Karnataki Kashida' by Pushpa Bakre.
